EV prices fall in Bangladesh as budget duty cuts reach showrooms
Deepal cut the S07 to Tk57 lakh, GAC published new Aion and E9 pricing, Chery reduced the Tiggo 9 Pro, and BYD announced lineup-wide cuts after the 2026–27 duty reduction.
Bangladesh’s FY2026–27 budget reduced duties on electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids from July 2026, and distributors have begun passing the change through to showroom prices.
Deepal Bangladesh cut the S07 to ৳57 lakh on 22 July 2026, down from ৳64.90 lakh, and added a ৳55 lakh cashback offer valid through September 2026. A September 2026 DHS Autos release now puts the S05 at ৳49.50 lakh excluding registration; no post-cut price was announced for the L07.
GAC said in August 2026 that AION V prices start at ৳52 lakh and the E9’s GL and GX variants start at ৳85 lakh. Chery Bangladesh announced in September 2026 that the Tiggo 9 Pro PHEV is now ৳69 lakh, down from ৳72 lakh. BYD’s distributor CG Runner announced lineup-wide cuts on 2 July 2026 but has not published a readable post-cut price list; earlier pricing was ৳49.90–55.90 lakh for the Atto 3 and ৳89.90–99.90 lakh for the Seal.
