BYD explains Sealion 5 electric driving in Bangladesh
BYD Bangladesh says local owners can cover up to 71 km on electricity, while the international WLTP reference is 52 km—two figures from different usage and test contexts.
BYD Bangladesh published a local-use guide for the Sealion 5, describing up to 71 km of pure-electric driving and more than 1,000 km of combined travel. That is useful ownership context, but it should not be presented as the same measurement as the 52 km WLTP figure in an international specification sheet.
ChargeBangla now labels both figures and their contexts instead of replacing one with the other. Actual electric distance varies with traffic, air-conditioning, load, speed, weather, battery state and the supplied Bangladesh trim.
The public distributor pages still do not provide a reliable current retail price after the July 2026 lineup announcement. The price page therefore retains the documented ৳47.9 lakh launch figure and asks buyers to confirm the current quotation.
